The Royal Air Force is also more commonly known as the RAF. This is the United Kingdom’s aerial warfare force which has operated since the end of the First World War. Being one of the largest air forces in the UK, it commemorated its 100-year anniversary on July the 10th by having 100 of its planes flying across London. A range of their planes had been brought into central London and since my science teacher had arranged a trip to see these, I had the opportunity to learn a lot about the air force and their duties. As well as the many planes they had displayed, a tent in which their new STEM inventions were showcased, was also set up. This was a very inspiring and interesting experience.
